As we age, lines and wrinkles form on our face and body. The severity, depth and aesthetics of a person’s wrinkles will depend on several factors including:
- Age
- Sun exposure
- Skin care
- Genetics
- Dehydration
- Muscle Strength
- Lifestyle Factors
There are two common types of wrinkles – static and dynamic.
Static wrinkles are those we see when our face is at rest. A common concern is that certain makeup settles in these lines and become more noticeable over time.
Dynamic lines are those that are made when our face moves. For example, a really shocked expression may form forehead lines, while worry or anger expressions create a deep frown line.
At your consultation with our doctors or nurses we discuss:
- Your medical history
- Your concerns and desired outcomes
- Your skin suitability and laxity; and
- Dynamic vs static lines.
