Fraxel is a non-invasive laser therapy providing a wide array of treatment options to address many forms of aging. The Pixel or Fractional Laser treatment utilises the resurfacing properties of fractional photothermolysis to stimulate new collagen growth and restore youthful, healthy looking skin.

Treatment that is accessible to medical clinics only performed by our Nurses. A week of Mild to moderate downtime depending on condition of the skin. All skin must be prepped prior to any Fraxel treatments and strict aftercare must be followed.

Post procedure healing kits are recommended and available for a reduced price.

Before your treatment:

The skin must be prepped with the correct skin care products. Our dermal therapists and nurses can assist you with what is required.
You should stop any active products one week out from your appointment.
You can’t have the treatment if you have any active infections, wounds or lesions.

During your treatment:

Be sure to attend your appointment makeup free.
Your skin will be cleansed and we’ll take photos of your skin prior to treatment.
For maximum comfort, your skin is numbed using a topical cream.
The treatment itself takes 15-30 minutes, however we allow about an hour for the whole process.

After your treatment:

You will feel hot, as if you’ve had severe sunburn.
We’ll recommend aftercare products which are safe to use for maximum recovery.
Ice packs will help soothe the burning sensation.
You must wear an SPF 50+ broadband sunscreen every day.
Your skin will be red and flaky, and may swell.
The full range of risks and reactions will be explained prior to treatment, but some of these symptoms can last 10 days.

The results from your Fraxel treatment are immediate and continue to improve over time. After the initial post-treatment symptoms subside, you will see a rejuvenated overall appearance. During the next few months, as your collagen regenerates, you will see further improvements.

Most patients require one treatment to see results. For maintenance, one treatment annually is recommended.
